Kendall Academy Welcomes Joe Hatch

Joe Hatch is in his last semester of the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University (FSU) located in Big Rapids, MI. He will graduate and become a PGA Class A Professional Member in December 2010. Joe practiced with FSU's Bulldogs Men's Division II Golf Team during his time at Ferris.
Joe has been mentored by a number of Top 100 Teachers. He studied under Mark Wood a Top 100 Instructor by Golf Magazine in Colorado. Also, Joe recently returned from Georgia where he worked with Charlie King, another Top 100 Instructor by Golf Magazine. Joe has provided private lessons and clinics in his career that range from special needs, to women, to coroporate, to juniors , and collegiate players.
Joe is joining Derek Radley this season expanding the Kendall Academy at The Meadows Golf Club at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. Derek is the Director of Instruction for the Kendall Academy at The Meadows that provides group and individual lessons to all those wanting to improve their game.
Joe's teaching is centered on teaching an effective individualized golf swing to each student. He believes that like a fingerprint we all have our own unique golf swing that defines us. The golf hall of fame is filled with many different swings that are effective. He stays current with the latest in teaching technologies and uses video equipment for swing analysis with all of his students. Dedicated and outgoing, Joe strives to help his students reach their maximum potential and considers their successes his goal.
The Meadows and Kendall Academy Team Up For For Top Notch Instruction

(Allendale, MI) Located in Allendale at Grand Valley State University, the Meadows Golf Club prides itself on complementing the educational mission of the campus by providing high quality instuctional services. It's a place to learn or improve one's golf game in addition to playing it. This golfing season The Meadows is teaming up with the award-winning Kendall Academy to offer expanded instruction, lessons and clinics for the novice, weekend, and competitive player alike.
Based in Ypsilanti, MI, Kendall Academy boasts five of the top 17 teachers in Michigan as ranked by Golf Digest. Founded by Dave Kendall, a two-time Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year and current President of the Michigan PGA, Kendall Academy has attracted a large and loyal following of golfers across the state. This season Kendall Academy at The Meadows under the PGA Director of Instruction, Derek Radley.

A Ferris State University graduate and four year member of its golf team, Radley started his teaching career at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI, ranked as a Top 25 Golf School in the country by Golf Magazine. From there Radley moved to Charlotte, NC where he taught at the Dana Rader Golf School, also ranked as a Top 25 Golf School. "I'm so thrilled to be back in West Michigan and to be a part of the Kendall Academy," said Radley, who took charge of the popular and busy "junior golf area" at February's West Michigan Golf Show. "The Meadows has an exceptional practice area including a short game and sheltered tees. It's one of the best in the area."
Added Dave Kendall: "Derek is a smart, patient, and energetic teacher with a keen eye for the game and the swing. His students will be in very good hands at The Meadows."
