Preschool Programs:

Toddlers: 18 – 24 Months

The 18–24-month program at Kendall Academy supports your child’s eagerness for learning in a safe and personalized educational environment. With a focus on supporting their journey through age-appropriate milestones, our caregivers offer the comfort and confidence needed to transition into toddler life.

Using a lesson plan uniquely tailored to each child provides preschoolers with the perfect balance of learning and play while inspiring the best in each child.

Fostering an Appetite for Learning in a Clean, Bright Environment

At Kendall Academy, every member of our staff plays a vital role in your young toddler’s development. That’s why we work hard with your 18–24-month-olds within small, natural light-filled classrooms with a challenging but never overwhelming curriculum.

Through providing a variety of daily learning opportunities for each child, we believe we’re nourishing a hunger for knowledge that will last well into their formative years. And with a small student-to-teacher ratio, you never have to worry about your child being overlooked or under-stimulated.

Promoting Active Learning in Children

When it comes down to it, young children don’t learn from behind a desk. They learn by doing–through play, experimentation, exploration, and testing. Since 90% of a child’s brain development occurs before age five, our individually tailored STEAM curriculum is designed to help your child learn, imagine, and interpret who they are through play.

Language & Literacy

It’s our goal to help your little one become more comfortable with language while growing their vocabulary through books, songs, and various daily activities, using visual aids whenever possible. Through songs, children are introduced to words they may not hear daily.

Social Skills

During this time, your child will begin socializing and becoming aware of others’ feelings. To aid in their social development, our staff will assist in the childrens’ play via supervised group activities. Not only that – but we’ll teach them how to express themselves with words and solve problems.

Music

Our caregivers promote a bounty of songs and movements on a daily basis to help keep your little one healthy and happy. This includes learning new songs and enjoying finger plays.

Mathematics

Using hands-on activities, we’ll work with your children to help them explore number concepts, including one/many, big/little, as well as simple shapes and colors.

Art

Art is essential to life. That’s why we encourage your child’s imagination to run wild as they discover who they are through creating music and creative art projects.
